I’m 47, for the last 3 years, I’ve gone 6-8 months without periods, combined with night sweats, itchy skin, hair loss, low mood etc
Had an appointment with my GP last week and she prescribed Elleste Duet, as she wanted me to start on a sequential HRT
however I couldn’t get it anywhere so asked for a new prescription
She has given me Kliofem, which seems to be for post menopause ?
So I’m very confused and scared to start on the Kliofem
Is there another alternative to the Elleste Duet I can ask for ? Or is the Kliofem appropriate for me at this stage ?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you

Transdermal is safer so I would ask your pharmacy what they can get, possibly evorel sequi or oestrogel and utrogeston. Look at the Treatments tab for options.

Thank you. I’ll speak to my local chemist :)

I am peri and I'm on sequential her (evorel sequi). I have found it beneficial on the whole and it's now available again.
Good luck

Ah that’s helpful. Thank you
Got a call with my GP for tomorrow. I don’t think the Kliofem is the right one for me. Especially after she said she wanted to put me onto a sequential one
