I’ve just had a terrifying episode where I had a long palpitation followed by what felt like a hot flush and dizziness. I’ve had this a couple of times before when I have night sweats and ache - seems to be as my Oestrogel bottle is getting low! Anyone else??

Hello lizzog.
I think your experience will resonate with many of the ladies on this site, they certainly do with me!
Palpitations used to be one of my worst symptoms and a friend of mine had many dizzy spells. As you know night sweats and aching are standard meno fare unfortunately.
I am sure other ladies who are currently suffering will soon be along to advise you.
Take care.
K.

Thanks for the reply- they don’t happen often but boy do I know about it when they do!!

If it only happens when the bottle gets low I'd suspect you'reaa bit low in oestrogen. I think you get a smaller dose as they get low. I always have a new bottle alongside an older one so I can compare it.

Yes I’m definitely changing the bottle tonight!

Hi there,
I have had palpitations since my 30’s and hot flushes after a total hysterectomy 10 years ago, not allowed hrt because of endometriosis. Have found that taking 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed and 1-2 tablespoons of chia seed a day greatly improve my symptoms. I put it in porridge or make a sort of pudding out of it with hazelnut milk ( add milk and leave it in fridge for a couple of hours to swell up). Then I add nuts, honey, fruit or cocoa powder to it. It’s a bit gloopy like tapioca but I love the taste now.
Also use olive oil for cooking as my only oil, all this adds omega 3’s which are supposed to help.
