Title: Erratic bleeding
Post by: KerryMac on October 17, 2020, 05:39:38 PM
I’ve been peri menopausal for a couple of years now (I think).
Last year my cycle became irregular - 2 weeks, 5 weeks, 3 weeks etc. By the end of the year I was back to 4 weeks. My bleeding was my normal 2/3 days.
Normality continued until July, then I went 6 weeks without. My next period lasted half a day. Nothing for 2 weeks then light bleeding/ spotting for 5 days.
I then had 4 days before I started spotting again (usually bleeding when I go to the loo).
I’ve been bleeding every day since, currently on day 7.
Do I need to talk to my doctor, or is this pretty standard stuff?

Hi KerryMac

Unfortunately your post got missed.

What you describe is pretty standard for early peri-menopause. There is an article about it here:

However if you are worried about any aspect of your bleeding ie it is heavy or prolonged it's as well to have a discussion with your doctor just for reassurance.
