Hi All,
I’m on Evorel Conti and I’ve noticed my body temperature has risen. It used to be around 36.8 but now it is 37.2-37.8 and has been for weeks. I feel ok so I know I don’t have an infection etc.
I’m not quite having traditional flushes/night sweats more like just feeling very hot at times.
Is it usual for continuous HRT to do this? If not, is it more/less hormones I need?
Thanks! :)

Hi Evie. I've not found HRT changed my body temperature. Hot sweats/flushes don't change core temperature either so I'm not sure this change is due to HRT.

However: less than 24 hours after swallowing my 1st Tamoxifen tablet I felt as though I had 'flu .......... :-\ I think some do feel continually hot ..... does it say anything in the leaflet in the box?

My temperature has definately raised. It used to be around 36.3 / 4 and now its between 36.8-37.1. I read that as we age our temperature usually drops, so maybe the HRT is having an effect. I hadn't thought about it before but mine is much higher since being on conti HRT. Could be a coincidence I guess.

Hi again,
Thanks for your replies. Quite interesting.
Had a look at the leaflet and nothing there but I did find some articles online which said progesterone raises your body temperature. I copied one below, it is pretty much the increase I’ve seen.
“ Progesterone causes an increase in BBT of about 0.5ºF/0.3ºC to 1.0°F/0.6ºC (33,34).”
