Okay, here we go again.
Currently on 4 pumps of oestrogel and nightly utrogestan
Have been on this regime for over 6 months.
Flushes and joint pain have pretty much disappeared.
Anxiety remains. Feeling a bit jittery remains. Not much happening in the downstairs department. Oestradiol levels in July were 145.
Decided to switch to Estradot 75, three weeks ago. Hated it. Stomach pain and permanent pmt. Reverted back to gel. Anxiety not good, sleep hit and miss, but no pains or pmt.
I have an appointment with a decent GP next week.
Do I discuss an
Increase of gel to 5 pumps to see what happens?
Or switch to the evorel patch ?
I don’t know if I need more gel or just not absorbing.
If not absorbing, what dose of patch do I ask for? 75, 100?
Please any thoughts?
It’s driving me nuts 😩

Hi Nas
I was in your position and went up to 6 pumps and only reached 272 at its best. Some relief of symptoms but anxiety stomach issues and nausea still remained! I tried the patch for 2 weeks but anxiety went through the roof and old symptoms returned! I am currently on 4mg Sandrena but to be honest not different to when on 6 pumps of gel! Only been on this for 4 weeks but get the feeling it’s not working and fed up of waiting 3 months each time to find out it doesn’t work for me! You could try upping the dose by half pump for a few days and se what happens

Which symptom would you like to ease first?
-
I have so many symptoms which seem to change from day to day! I suppose the anxiety would be top of the list as that makes me also feel low in mood although since stopping Utrogestron(having coil fitted this week! ) mood has improved without it! I just generally feel unwell every single day! I have no idea at the minute if I’m having too much or too little estrogen

Okay Flan , we are in exactly the same predicament then.
Had the most horrendous night last night, after upping the gel. Shaking , knots in stomach, heart pounding. I didn’t think I was going to survive the day today!
I don’t know what to do. I’m dammed if I do and dammed if I don’t.
This 3 month wait is hideous. I couldn’t tolerate the Estradot, pmt like nothing on earth and stomach cramps.
I’m even thinking of cutting back the gel to see what happens.
Are yo under a specialist Flan? I was under a consultant at the Chelsea hospital, but got discharged. Time for a referral me thinks!

What dose did you begin on and why did you up it? Some find 2 or 3 pumps or 2 and 2.5 .......... it's about Trial and Error.

Hi Nas Yes I am under a specialist who I spoke with today and she advised to go to 3mg Sandrena as it is more concentrated than the gel! She also said something about as I had not had progesterone this month that could be affecting things! She said once I have had the coil fitted we can get a better refund going! I would love to give it all up and see how it goes but I know all the symptoms would return! I have had the worse day that I have had in a long time! Usually my evenings are better but tonight palpitations still going as is the anxious feeling ! I have been trying different HRT since June 2019 and here I am still trying! I am just going through the motions of day to day life at the minute not really enjoying anything

Yes flan, I hear what you are saying. It’s a hideous journey. It’s even affected my ability to drive! I began on sandrena and couldn’t get on with the fiddly sachets. So switched to the pump for ease. I also started HRT last June and am none the better!
CLKD I upped the dose because the flushes were returning. But I have dreadful anxiety now. Maybe I’m not absorbing the gel? More? Less?

I agree they are fiddly but wasn’t absorbing the gel and I feel now not absorbing Sandrena! Will know once blood test is done will keep you posted
