Hi everyone
Quick question to see if this is a hormonal thing or..............something else.
No other way of saying it, so I'll spit it out..............armpits! Armpit odour..... :o I shower daily, often twice daily and never had this issue. I've changed deodorant but that shouldn't be the issue as it's one I've used many times before.
It's not really awful or anything, but noticeable to me after only 4 hours after having a shower........I just wondered if it's a hormonal thing? I started using vagifem every other day......I'm on Evorel Sequi but been on it for a while now and not noticed this before the past week.
Thanks for any thoughts. :)

Hormonal.
Oh Errrr - I began a thread years ago. DH tells me that he doesn't notice. ::). But I can smell me. Often. I do find that keeping underarms completely hairless helps ........ and using talcs stop the sweating. I don't use an anti-perspirant ...... unless we are going out socially ;-)

Hi KarahShannon, it could be an excess of androgens, testosterone is responsible for the not so lovely armpit odours.

Oh this could be a good thing then! I've been worrying about lack of testosterone, not that I know if I lack it, but some in our family have a theory that we lack testosterone after a certain age. Lots of frailty in our elderly and throughout their lives not a lot of body hair. I have body hair but I noticed in the past couple of years things like not having to shave legs any more, etc.... So if something I'm taking is helping me produce testosterone that may be good. Also I noticed mild prolapse symptoms before HRT, which have almost resolved, so again, i'm sure testosterone would help with that. I'm using an organic deodorant, so it's very mild, I can step it up a bit and keep my testosterone, lol

Thanks CLKD, that's what I was wondering but glad in a way as it suggests my body is producing something, lol. I'm using mild organic deodorants, I can use something more standard and see how I go.

Hi KaraShannon, I agree with Sage. The Norethisterone in Evorel Sequi is one of the more androgenic progestogens. Have you been on the combi phase of the patches while things have changed for the worse? If not, maybe your body is producing more of its own androgens just now. I take it you're not also taking testosterone?

It's an anti-perspirant that you need ;-). Deodorants 'deodorise' ............ ...... talc soaks it up 8)

I changed back to the estradiol on Sunday, so I had been.
Thanks. I'm glad in a way, I think my body might have been missing something, I will see how it goes.

Yep, it is, I just call them all deodorant, lol, but you are right. It's an antiperspirant but it's organic and quite gentle, time for the more standard stuff lol

I took years to realise the difference ;D

I only knew as my mother was showing me them in the shop when I was a teen and I wanted some pretty ones and they happened to be anti perspirants and she said I didn't need them yet, they were too harsh. Of course I went and bought them as soon as out of her sight, lol.
