Title: Femoston sequential to combined change
Post by: KatyMc on September 11, 2020, 07:28:22 AM
Morning all. I’m just over 2 weeks in to changing from Femoston sequential 2/10 to femoston continuous 1/10. I’ve had a couple of sleepless nights and hot flushes, and my emotions are all over the place.

Few hot flushes & more emotionally stable prior to change.

Could change in hrt be the reason?

Hi you’ve changed to a tablet which has half the amount of oestrogen that you were previously taking. That could be the reason for your return of symptoms. X

I agree with Dotty - you are getting half of the amount of oestrogen you were I think so this could lead to the return of symptoms. Advice seems to be to begin on 1/10 and then increase to 2/10 if symptoms are not controlled. https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/5523/smpc#gref

Thank you. I wasn’t sure if I would feel a change, or how soon I’d notice.

Why did you reduce your dose?
