I feel like I am not going through as rough a time as a lot of women so I'm not sure if the HRT will really help me or not. Please can you advise me before I visit my GP.
Do you think HRT will make a difference to:
Night hot flushes - I used to get bearable hot flushes during the day and at night - now I don't notice the day ones but often wake 2-3 times a night with flushes (not sweats). I am wondering if because it is winter here that is making the day flushes not as noticable and when summer comes maybe they'll be more annoying??
I've noticed that I have vaginal burning and stinging sometimes when I am intimate with my hubby, other times it's not
I am tired! I hate driving because I feel zoned out sometimes and it's causing anxiety.
I have weird head symptoms - I just feel a bit light headed at times - especially if going for my 30 minute walk (BP is ok)
I had my last period 5 months ago, although had a tiny bit of spotting last week for a day (does this count as a period when counting the 12 months of no periods??)
Thanks for your help :)

Hi. Most folks can only tell you how positive or negative HRT was for them but ultimately I think it's down to your own individual experience. Could be worth a try. I had a positive experience taking Oestrogen only for over 20 years but I suspect that it's different for people taking the combined pill. I can tell you that I had the problem of vaginal dryness, burning, tearing etc and my saviour was Ovestin cream. I use this twice a week and will do for the rest of my days. I hope that you find your answer :)

Hi Ladies
Do read the threads about bladder issues and vaginal atrophy. The latter is common and should be treated with localised HRT ASAP. One doesn't need an exam or blood test, the GP can prescribe on symptoms.
Tiredness: have you had a thyroid function and VitD and anaemia level blood tests? One shouldn't blame everything onto menopause though The Change can cause these problems.
I have electric head zaps due to medication I have taken for years. I feel weird in the head at times, or hung over or feel that I have slept too heavily. Body OK, brain tired. A nap in the afternoon relieves the latter.
I wouldn't count the spotting unless I needed 2 days of pads. My periods waxed and waned for several years. Then disappeared, but I didn't stop carrying protection for 5 years ::)
