Hi Ladies
Last year my meno symptoms returned after 3yrs of having great results with patches. I am post meno with no uterus kept ovaries (2008).
Prior to that, was on Elleste solo tablets.
My symptoms followed a stressful incident at work and my blood test revealed estrogen levels were high 789 pmol. Which I was surprised about and I decided to to reduce patch dose and then due to supply issues changed to Estradam MX. Nothing helped, I even tried testosterone. My main symptoms we’re palpitations at night with mild hot flushes and low mood/anxiety. My body did not absorb Estradam well as levels were much lower on same does.
I have now started back on the full dose of Evorel patches which is 150 per week and my symptoms have improved again, especially my sleep.
My question is have you ladies found having a break from something that has been working for a long time helped you when returning to using it. Does our body sometimes need a rest from oestrogen after a period of time to help balance levels?
I am due to have another blood test at the end of the month and will see what my levels are then.
Hopefully my symptoms will continue to improve.
Would be really interested to hear your experiences ladies.
