Hi, I've had a very small amount of spotting over the last few days. I'm 56 and my last period wasa year ago. I'm not on any hrt
I spoke to my doctor this morning and I'm having swabs, smear and check up next week.
I'm worrying now. Has anyone else experienced this and was everything OK?
Thank you :)

Yep. What does your GP suspect? All unexplained bleeding should be investigated once we stop periods, to check the womb lining .... sometimes ovaries have a final party though ::)

Hi, doctor just said it needs checking and mentioned being referred :(
Thank you for your reply :)

Morning. I would ring and ask for a referral for a scan which gives you a starting point. Let us know how you get on.

Hi there!
I'm in the same boat as you. I've had intermittent spotting over the last few weeks and it's been 2 years since my last period (I'm 54). I am concerned, but I'm hoping that all is fine and it's just my hormones that are out of whack. Glad you are getting checked :)

Hi CC
Have you been to see your doctor? My spotting has stopped but I feel like I'm on my period. You know that feeling in your lower tummy. Not painful though.
I am worried as the doctor seemed quite concerned :(
I have a lovely smear booked for Monday & the doctor said she'd take a look :-\ Can't wait!! Hope you get sorted xx

Hey there,
Yep, I get the all the PMS feelings as well, the mild crampiness, sore boobs, tiredness etc. My first bout of spotting lasted 6 days and then it stopped. Then recently it started again but noticebly lighter than before.
I had both scans done yesterday and I should be hearing from the doctor soon.
Hope all goes well for you too! :)

That's not normal because after 2 years without a period it's postmenopause.
