Hi all.
Does anyone use Vagifem nightly?
I have been using it for a few months now and it helped but I came off HRT for a month (still used vagifem) and my symptoms came back. I've been back on hrt for over a month now and I'm still getting bladder symptoms, mainly feeling the need to pee, as well as itching. Today it feels like I have thrush with discharge and soreness.
I have been using vagifem every other night as I get sore if I leave it longer, would I be better trying it every night instead? Do you get symptoms if you use it too much?

Hi there. My doc says you mustnt use this nightly as it thickens up your endometrium. I hve similar problems, and my specialist says i can use every other night, but i had to get her say so.

Your GP is wrong Treehouse1. Many ladies have to use 'vagifem' every night for Life. It's not a large amount of HRT and needs must. Quality of Life and all that. Do read the vaginal atrophy threads here - put it into the search box. Make notes ;-)

You can use Vagifem every night and endometrial protection is not needed with local oestrogen. Amazes me that GPs still peddle this story. You can look it up in the NICE guidelines.

I use it every night, my meno specialist said even used nightly it would not be a problem as it is only equivelent to 2/3 systemic HRT tablets a year.
