Hi everyone. New to this group and looking for any help with hair loss. Recent blood test revealed I'm post-menopausal, which my GP says probably accounts for my increasing hair loss. He put me on B12 tablets a month ago, but I wondered if anyone else had any other ideas that may help? Thanks in advance.

Hi I had expected someone to have responded by now. Fortunately this hans't happened to me. Is it all over or the scalp?

Hello julieplus2 and welcome to the forum.
Lots of ladies report hair loss at this time and I'm sure some will soon be along to advise you.
In the meantime your GP may be onto something as I take a B12 supplement daily and despite being ten years post menopause my hair seems thicker than it was in my younger day. I suggest you keep taking the tablets and let us know how you get on!
Wishing you well.

Hi 👋 I’m peri and 47 and have suffered from very fine , thinning hair on and off for years.I think my hormones have always been out of whack! I found an improvement when I started taking HRT which I’ve been taking for a year. My hair has got thicker , although it’s never going to be thick, you just can’t see so much of my scalp and I have been able to start growing out the short pixie cut I’d had to hide the hair loss. I’ve currently had to stop my HRT due to waiting for some investigations so I’ve started taking Biotin to see if that helps and am hoping to get back on HRT very soon. I’m very aware that when my mother was forced to stop her HRT by her GP she went almost bald and had to wear a wig.
Are you taking any form of HRT?
