Title: Dry patches on face

Hi

I've suddenly acquired 3 or 4 dry patches on my face, I do suffer with eczema on my hands but never on my face, could it be menopause related...my last period was 5 years ago.

I am stressed at the mo as my husband has just been diagnosed with cancer so not sure what to think.

Do get them checked. It could be the start of Solar Keratosis.

I had a patch on my nose treated last Autumn.  It started off as a small dry patch, which I ignored for years.  By last summer it had become crusty. 

If it is that, the sooner treated the better as it means less treatment which heals quicker.

Sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis.  How much support are you getting, is there a specific Nurse for contact?

Hi there, yes me too. Suffering really badly for the past seven months with dry itchy skin around my mouth. Doctor has prescribed eumovate but honestly, I realise I probably need to be on hrt, reluctant though.
Like you I've got it on my hands.

Do you take hrt

Thanks everyone,  I think they are stress related, I'm moisturising and I do have eczema cream for my hands so if it gets worse I can use that...wearing a mask seems to aggravate it but on the rare occasions we go out we both have to be careful as my husband cannot risk catching the virus while he waits for cancer surgery

Hi

I had dry patches on my face last year.   They did go away eventually, but took months and months.  Dr said it was problems stress related and gave me some steroid cream.

So sorry to hear about your husband, must be tough for you both.
