Title: Does Eastrogrn cream help these symptoms?
Post by: Chihuahuachick on July 11, 2020, 08:46:25 PM
I had thrush about three weeks ago.

Had meds from the doctors and it cleared up.

But I still have burning on urination. And if I don't but tge canesten hydrocortisone on 4 times a day I am sore.

4 years into peri. Not on any meds.

Would Eastrogen cream help this problem. I have no thrush discharge now but this sore burning feeling.

Any advice would be appreciated. Plus the situation is ruining my sex life x

Hi there chihauhau

Have you used any vaginal oestrogen at all? I seem to remember you are on full HRT? Many of us need both to feel comfortable down there so maybe yes, if you do not have a y sort of fungal or bacterial urinary tract infection you could ask the doc for either vagifem or estriol cream. This comes as a generic 0.01 % cream ( this would probably be better as being weaker can be used a bit more liberally) or the branded Ovestin which is 10 times stronger and used in tiny amounts.

Have a look at "The Burning Club" thread in private lives or any of Maryjane's posts - she is the expert on all things vaginal!!  ::)

Thanks folklass.

I will check out the link.

I need to see someone really. Or do I? Cannot get an appointment face to face at the moment.

I haven't any discharge. I don't think I havevthrush now. But if the topical cream made it worse and it was thrush, eoukd the worsening be the thrush symptoms? Or would the worsening bring other symptoms? X

I am on a period now and it hasn't got worse.

I will ring the doctors asap and talk to them again.

I tried coconut oil and 2 hours after rubbing it in the burning started. But if I use the canesten HC cream, 2 hrs after rubbing the burning is not there.

If I don't drink pleanty of water and apply the cteam every 2 to 3 hrs I get this burning and chapped feeling.

Any thoughts on the above would be greatly appreciated xxxx

I have eastrogen cream. The doctor prescribed it for me.

I have done a test patch on my arm and no reaction so far.

So I will use it tonight as prescribed. I really hope it works x

This burning is horrible x

Cream on once and I'm a lot better.

Lets hope the progress continues.
