Evening All
Been on HRT 2 mg now since my total Hysterectomy on the 27th Dec 2012 and things have been good but this last year my weight has increased big time, I have gone from a 10 to a 14/16 and it is making me so unhappy, I am quite active at work but I am aching big time, my knee is playing up, my back hurts when I bend down alot, just feel like a 80 yrs old not a 53yr old, was wondering if I am having too much estrogen, any advice please

Hi moonbeam - long time no "see".!! Sorry to hear you're not doing so well. If you've been on that same dose all that time and haven't changed brand then it is unlikely to be too much oestrogen. Is there anything else you are doing differently? Obviously there has been THE VIRUS. Has this affected you workwise eg were you furloughed or working from home? If so maybe you've changed your diet and are snacking more? More carbs and sugar or fat? Perhaps keep a diary of what you eat and how much exercise you have? If nothing has changed then maybe go to the doc and say how you're feeling and ask for a blood tests. It could be eg that your thryoid is going a bit haywire. This can happen to women especially at this time of life but docs can miss it. This would cause joint aches as well as weight gain., but also tell-tale symptoms like feeling cold more than you used to and fatigue. Hope you manage to sort it out! Take care :)

I have been working as I am a supermarket worker and been very busy, mostly feeling good but lately been having mood swings, headaches again and the weight gain is awful, on 30mg Citalapram, 15mg Mitzapine, 2mg HRT, really not sure if it's a blip or something x

How long have you been on these other meds Moonbeam?

I usually find vitD and magnesium helps with joint aches.
But agree with what the others said too.
