Title: Jacuzzi and patches?
Post by: florriepeck on July 01, 2020, 01:26:31 PM
I'm getting on well, one month into my Evorel 50/utrogestan regime.
I've rebooked my holiday which was postponed due to COVID.
Will be going in the jacuzzi in my holiday apartment.
Anyone know how well Evorel patches stand up to this?
Is there any best place to stick them with this in mind, eg thigh instead of bottom?
And what about if I go on a tanning bed a few times before my holiday:do Evorel patches stay on okay then?

I would avoid the tanning bed.  A good quality suntan lotion with a bronzing effect is less likely to cause health problems later.

As for patches.  Under the bikini so that it doesn't float off across the pool?  Or apply on very dried skin after swimming?

Go on, do tell - where you booked to go ;-) ?

Now don't go jumping in the Trevvi though I believe there are Guards around it these days  :-\.  ENJOY!

I would go to my GP and ask for a double prescription in case the patches don't stick for long enough ;-)

Oh, that's a good idea re getting extra patches: I'll take extras away with me.
Would it not do any harm if the Evorel 50 was changed more often than twice a week, if the patch was coming off/came off?
I suppose it's okay,as it's a sustained release.
I'll be attending Newson Clinic review before the Rome trip, so I'll mention it to the dr there.

They shouldn't be any worse in a jacuzzi than in a bath but I might not be the best person to comment as I could never get them to stick properly. Good idea to take spares.
