Title: SORE SORE BREASTS
Post by: SV66 on June 29, 2020, 09:53:20 AM
Hello all

I hope everyone is staying safe and well

A quick question please, I am 54 and on HRT patches and have a coil and have been on the patches for about a year and a half

The last 2 weeks my breasts have been extremely tender and sore, to the point that when I take my bra off they feel like a ten tonne weight and so painful, even my nipples are so tender

Has anyone else experienced this?  I'm just putting it down to hormones, also my abdomen has been quite sore to but again I'm just putting it all down to menopause  :-\

thank you

Most likely your own hormones. Has your hrt changed recently? Some people get them with too much oestrogen, I get it with progesterone. I'd leave it a couple of weeks before worrying.

Hi Sheila99

No I've not changed my HRT at all

I'll see how it goes but I'm guessing it's hormonal, certainly don't have any lumps or anything

thank you for replying

I only have sore breasts occasionally before my period but I do remember my mum being in near constant pain with her breasts during her perimenopause/menopause
