Title: Coming off HRT
Post by: Hayley285 on June 02, 2020, 03:07:12 PM
Hi everyone, I've been on femston 2/10 for the past 2 years for the past 3 months I've reduced it to 1/10 is it safe to just stop taking HRT, I've noticed pigmentation on both sides of my chin which is why I want to stop HRT
TIA

Hi Hayley285. Some women stop abruptly and some use a slowly reducing approach. I tried both and each time it made no difference to when my symptoms came back. It wont harm you to just stop but your symptoms may return of course. What were the main things you started HRT for?

Have you had the pigmentation checked out rather than just assume it is the HRT?

Hi Taz, thanks for replying I went on HRT because of terrible hot flushes and fatigue I have said it to doctor about pigmentation he wants to discuss with another doctor I've been reading that it might be from HRT so that's why I want to come off it and see if it makes any difference xx

Hi Hayley 285
I've decided the same thing and stopping HRT from tomorrow due to awful side effects on my current regime  :-\
Let us know how you get on and best of luck!
