Title: changing from gel to patch
Post by: Sammiejane on May 18, 2020, 03:25:05 PM
hi ladies

if i changed from gel to a patch could this improve my hair shedding !

i?m not sure if it's estradiol causing it or the actual gel itself !

i had no issues when taking the pill so don't understand

free testosterone is 0.6 is this considered low ?

GP wants me to start testosterone ?

need advice please

Hi Sammiejane I shed a lot of hair on the gel but I believe it was because I wasn't absorbing it well and had fluctuations which was the problem for my hair. Patches gave me more of a stable dose and my hair settled. X

hi kballinger

can i ask what patch u on. ?
do you take progesterone ? and or tesosterone ?

i've added progesterone and it isn't as bad as on the gel on its own at the moment however now been on 3 mths it's slowly getting worse compared to off hrt

so progesterone hasn't helped in the way i had hoped apart from my mood

i've upped the gel to 2:5 pumps and utro daily 100mg but made no difference

gp wants me to take tesosterone as my level is low but not sure whether to first get hair settled on estrogen x a i have had hysterectomy i don't need progesterone but using to balance estrogen as i felt awful on the gel on its own x
