Title: HRT when still getting periods
Post by: Chp27 on May 04, 2020, 04:53:47 PM
Hello all. This is my first post here but I've read really useful advice before and wonder if I can pick some wise brains.
I'm 45 with my womb going through early-Ish menopause and after 12 months of awful symptoms finally got relief from elleste duet. This took some convincing at my GP. Elleste  are out of stock, so instead I have been prescribed kliovance. I think there are for women at least one year after their periods stop. I still get periods so am now confused as to whether I should be taking them or not when my elleste duet run out. it's so confusing and my GP is not much help but will ring back if this isn't suitable. I appreciate any advice going

Hi Chp27. Yes you are right. Kliovance is for women who have been at least a year without periods so you need to be prescribed a different one. Have a look at the various preparations, which you can find by clicking on the Menu box top right of the screen. It's under treatments. Let us know how you get on and if you have any other questions then just ask  :)
