Title: estrogel large dose--to split or not?
Post by: Shannonplussed on May 03, 2020, 09:32:19 PM
I've heard the advice to split a large dose of estrogel into am and pm applications. Aside from the obvious pros (more consistent level throughout the day) and cons (trying to keep the applications 12 hours apart), is there more to this that I maybe haven't considered? I would prefer to keep to just one application for ease of things (even if it is a lot of gel with 4 pumps). Does anyone have experience more heavily favouring one application time vs two? This past week, I tried to split things and it was okay, but I slept in today so my morning application was a lot later and I'm in a foul mood--wondering if the waning, smaller dose has impacted my mood, or if it's something else.

I use 3 pumps, i was doing two at night and one in the day but would often forget the day one so now i just use it all at night.
