The new E45 cream in the dark blue bottle.  I think it's called Extra moisturizer, or something  :-\.

Also my favourite cream for skin problems which has TeeTree, witch Hazel and zinc in it. Called Teangi TeeTree cream from Lanes Health.  Just goggle their website.

Thank you.  I will google.  I went into my pharmacy and they are all out of hand cream along with hand sanitizer.

If you have some thin plastic gloves squirt some moisturiser in them and wear them for a few hours, really works  :)

I've been using the Olive & Bee I bought for the va....rub it well into the hands and cuticles....have also used it up my nose, in my ears, on my toes and feet, elbows....it's lovely stuff....don't get it in your eyes though...it's a bugger if you do.

Kmorris...thx but sadly we don't have Olive & Bee here in Canada.  Went on Amazon but no such luck.  I'm gonna try the plastic glove idea.  Sounds like it works.  Thx. Ladies.  Stay safe.

'savlon'
Nivea products
Vaseline products
Look on the baby shelves?
Pet stores
Hairdressing saloons ? conditioner but not rubbed in: into a bowl of warm water and dip hands in.  Rinse gently and drip dry.
Vaseline
Olive oil from the kitchen
Butter gently massaged in - but don't get near a heat source ;-)
KY Jelly

Soap but don't wash or dry for a while, gently massage as a lather to moisten the skin

I have eczema on my hands. They are currently covered in little cuts, that bleed. ( my sheets need washing again!) Use good old fashioned soap, not liquid soap, which really aggravates. And hand sanitizer is awful. I only use if absolutely necessary, but as I'm at home , it's not. I use Epaderm cream, which can also be used for cleansing. It really soothes and moisturises. I buy on amazon and is available in pharmacies over the counter.

Yep.  HATE the feel of 'brillo' pads  >:( .........

Could you contact beauty companies on-line for samples ? When mine are really bad antyhing that helps them keep supple works until I find my usual products.

Would soft melted chocolate work  :whist:.  I was thinking about this Thread at 3.00 a.m. this morning [real time] wondering what my East Anglian Grandma would have used.

Zinc and caster oil was her go-to.  Or Ponds cleansing cream.

Think I'm going to try Ju Ju's idea as I also have eczema on my hands.  I was supposed to go on Efudex (topical chemo) on my hands but with all this washing...forgettaboutit.  Stay safe ladies and hope your families are all free of the virus.

Smother your hands in Vaseline- really thick! The wear a pair of cotton gloves overnight- in the morning soft and revived! And also really cheap!

:thankyou: You can mention the products but you can't post a direct link to buy them. I've got the hemp one. It is really good especially using it overnight with cotton gloves.

Certainly for those sensitive to lanolin any products containing it should be avoided.

Mine are so sore but a good friend gave me Crabtree and Evelyn for my birthday in December  ;) not the whole Company but small tubes suitable for the camper van.

I'll buy it off you ......... when the Royal Mail is up and running again ;-)

This C&E needs a tiny bit, it spreads beautifully ....... trouble is the Staff who usually give me the massage are self isolating  >:(  :D [I was due for a pedicure this week  :-\]

Hello ladies.

I've actually been using lanolin cream without a problem fortunately. I bought it from Boots and it's designed for nursing mothers to use. It's very sticky but so far so good.

By the way there is no problem with the Royal Mail though the service is understandably under strain.

Take care ladies.

K.

The Royal Mail has threatened to advise their workers to go off if they aren't considered the 5th emergency service ..... and they have withdrawn their next day signed for service.

My hands are improving ;-)

Ladies!

My hands feel as dry as elephants knees! I do have a recommendation for you all though - a jar of  O'Keefe's Working Hands. Largely unscented and very soothing. It's the only hand cream I am able to wear and my cat still lets me cuddle him!!

I have dry skin at the best of time but with all the constant washing they have cracked and some of the cuts are quite deep and really painful. Under normal circumstances, the best stuff I use (and ive tried loads of things) is atrixo, old fashioned but seems to sink in really well. Obviously not quite enough at the moment though.
