All meeting places are closed as from 7.00 p.m.  They can continue to do take away but don't understand why anyone would want to stay open 'in case'  :-\

Our local real ale pub is opening at 12 for the sale of take away draught ales. Bring your own container. Wait in your car till called.

Thanks for the paint link Jari.

It's about getting rid of ale that won't keep longer than 3 months: what's that about! ?Ms will be poured away next week now that outlets have closed.  Wonder if the Government Bar remains open  :-\

I thought the whole point of ale/beer is because it keeps  ::).  How many containers will you take Taz, it will keep in the fridge or can be added to pancake batter [what do I know, I don't cook  ::)].  Or battered fish ......... does it freeze in small quantities ?

No-one's going to walk a few hundred yards to these small places just to buy a coffee though are they? Their main reason for being is to provide a social hub.

I can see that the big chains will still do business with people who are continuing to go to work.
I agree. Rarely buy takeaway coffee. I like to sit inside, read my book and people watch. It will save me money but I am already missing doing this.

Once a Real Ale barrel is open it has to be drunk pretty quick.  It does not keep.

That's what students used to tell me  ;D

I would take vacuum flasks with me and stand in the fridge once home again.  1 can cook with it?

My garden is big with ponds. Plenty to watch here, including frog spawn ;-)

Lots of cafes around here are offering take away, some kind people are also delivering to the elderly. One particular very popular cafe make home made lunches, soups, pies, dinners nothing fancy and they've been delivering to their older regulars who don't want to go out  :)

I think that will become the 'norm' whilst they have stocks to cook up.  Shows how close people are to the edge  :-\
