I am sure I have read on here a few times that women are using Benadryl for there anxiety?
Does it work?
How much do you use?
Also travel sickness pills work for anxiety?
Anything else that works apart from the pills from the doc?
Just be really interested to know.🌹
-
Some of the over the counter anti-sickness meds are sleep inducing. My prescription emergency medication from the GP: taken as necessary when I am on the floor curled up wanting to die: either knocks me out and I wake non anxious or enables me to cope.
What's wrong with appropriately prescribed medication :-\
-
Nothing at all just wanting to hear about these alternatives that are being used to any effectiveness.
-
How does the anxiety effect you? For me it's instant: I have no way of dissipating it.
When I used to go on stage that anxiety went the moment I began singing etc..
-
Yes,it works for me and a friend I have on here but it has to be the Benadryl that has Acrivastin written on the front, the good thing about it is,it's non addictive :)
-
Jaypo yes not addictive that's what I was thinking I use clonazepam once or twice a week but I'm very mindful it's addictive.
Would be good to find something else that could use in between times that is not!
Do you use the tablets or the liquid?
Thank you 🌹

The tablets,I take one about an hour or so before bedtime, they just seem to settle me nicely ☺️
-
Thanks Jay Powell will get some to day and give it a go.
You say they settle you do you also find you have a better sleep?
Have you tried using them in the day?
-
When do you need to use it? My worst time is 1st thing in the morning: from 3.30 a.m. onwards when I am really ill: so I take my meds overnight.
-
Yes,they help me sleep but not in a bad way like some, for instance,I took night nurse (I DID have a cold ;D) and I was zonked out, could hardly get out of my bed in the morning but with Benadryl I'm fine in the morning,it doesn't really make you sleepy as such but somehow you drift off nicely. You could try them through the day but probably better at night to start with or in the evening, remember,it's the ones with acrivastine :)

Promethazine is good.. I thought u were feeling better though with her is it not working for you
-
Kwells used to knock me out, don't know if they are still on the market.
-
Ha,yes clkd,you can still get them :)

I started to notice if I had three fried in butter eggs for dinner I always slept really well.
Looking into it the eggs whites have tryptophan in them and a lot of us are lacking in it.
So I going to get some serotonin support supplements that has Tryptophan in it.
Has anyone else found this helps?

:-X ........... I can't tolerate eggs ......... no longer fancy them though did like poached eggs on buttered toast. So I miss the chance of a meal particularly at lunch time. Scrambled are useful too.
