I've started Estrogel using 1pump for the last 2 weeks but I'm having really awful side effects.
Almost a feeling of taking amphetamines or to much caffeine. Jittery nausea can't sleep because my mind is racing it's horrible. Do I stick it out? Will it get better?
My specialist put me on one pump as she thinks that I am very sensitive to hormonal changes after hearing my history.?
I'm in Peri and have been for about 4yrs I think, I take Pop and 20mg fluoxetine and have Fibromyalgia.
I was taking isoflavones before and that stopped all my flushes and I have only tried HRT because of mood swings at this moment though it doesn't feel worth it, I've felt so ill I've taken a week off work 😟

Hi Polpringle,
When I started HRT I felt exactly the same. I started on 25 mcg patch.
I initially started it because of sleep problems but it made me wiry and jittery, and seemed to have the opposite effect.
After a few weeks it settled down and things improved greatly. Start low, go slow and give it time.
It takes a while for the body to adapt.
Hope this helps
cheers
