hi ladies
so i've noticed last few nights when laying in bed and my legs straight laying on my back i?m getting stinging around vagina and it's always the following night after using the ovestin cream yet when i lift my knees i don't get it or lay in my left side i?m ok but lay on my right it's the same.
does this mean my VA isn't controlled enough ?
do i need more estrogen or more vaginal estrogen .
thank you

Sometimes it does sting. Maybe use it every night to keep the area moist? Do read the appropriate threads on here.

Hi sammie...I get stinging using cream for several hours after applying. According to my NP, that is quite common as your external area is very sensitive and as the cream is plumping up the tissue, then stinging does occur. There are many nerves in that area and chances are your external area has been depleted of estrogen and it takes a LONG TIME before the vulva becomes 'youthful' again. VA will never be 'cured' but can be managed. If the stinging becomes extreme, then perhaps just use Vagifem and see if it's the ovestin that is causing grief. Sammie I am certain you will find your right treatments but please remember it takes time.
