Title: Dog theft 2021 was ( 10 March )
Post by: CLKD on March 11, 2020, 09:29:37 AM
This everning my dog Sally was stolen from a locked kennel at Beckerings Park Milton Keynes at about 5:30pm.

The vehicle was a blue Kia Serento with Irish number plates. The vehicle had been seen in Buckingham earlier this afternoon.
Sally was stolen, along with as Golden Cocker Spaniel belonging to Paul Childerley and a Patterdale Terrier bitch belonging to Sam Austin

If anyone has any information please please let me know ASAP. If anyone sees her please let me know. Someone has her and will either try to sell her or will use her for illigal puppy ffarming.

She is a pedigree English Springer Spaniel, white with black markings, great nature and trained as a working dog.

please call me on 07851629343 if you have any info

I hope all these dogs are recovered soon
Thieves don't care that the dogs themselves would be diostressed and missing their owners

I feel so sorry for these dogs torn away from their owners. Not many advantages to having a 3 legged dog but no one will want to steal her.

Sheila99,they will steal any dog for dog fighting, and a 3 legged dog would be ideal, just keep your eye on her, i can't bear the thoughts about these poor dogs that are stolen

Nope.  But local to me.  Make these too hot to handle.  Gun dogs have been stolen to order for over 30 years, but these were in an apparently locked kennel.  So someone, somewhere, knew to come tooled up.

Oh so sad, can't bear the thought of these poor dogs being separated from their owners. Like others have said unfortunately no dog is immune. If not up to parr they are used as bait during dog fighting, heart breaking.
Where I live people have been warned if you find a chalk mark outside your property anywhere, your dog is on the list.

She's rarely out of my sight jaycee, I know it isn't just pedigrees they take. I'm not even allowed to go to the toilet unaccompanied  ???

What exactly is the punishment for these people who get caught?
Just a slapped wrist I suppose! 🤬🤬

I don't think this is CLKDs dog.  She is just passing on the message for someone else.

Sorry I wasn't clear.  Fortunately these aren't mine.  But gun dogs have been targeted for years  :'(

Interesting about the chalk marks ......... keep them inside 'cos if someone wants the dog/s they will be equipped to get through barriers.  :-\

Someone must have been watching and known these dogs were in kennels, and i know a lot of these kind of dogs are kept outside, but really it is not wise to keep them outside
I read about that poor dalmation,it is just terrible, there are some really evil people about
Another little dog was stolen a few months back, and the owners found it hung on their gate the day after, :(

These were taken from locked kennels inside a locked barn - the springer was found 30 miles away.  No update since then.

Four stolen dogs have yet to be reunited with their owners, a month after being rescued by police.

Twelve dogs were found during a police search in Hertfordshire as part of an investigation into a theft from kennels in Wilden in September.

Dog lovers are being asked to spread the word and help reunite the dogs with their families.

Three people arrested in connection with the thefts were bailed again earlier this month.

Last week a couple arranged to meet a 'buyer' in a lay-by.  They had 2 "rhotties" and two Cane ?? - unsurprisingly they were surrounded by masked men with guns who managed to snatch 3 of the pups  :o  >:(.  Some people simply have no sense, why in the 1st place are they breeding so many large dogs and I do wonder if they are registered with the LA.  Hopefully the Police will look into this, it sounds very much like dog fighting set-up to me.

There are mutterings about increasing the penalty as currently it's the same as of you steal a mobile phone. Quite right too IMO, dogs are sentient beings who suffer just as much as the owner's do when they're ripped away from their home. To say nothing of the cruelty that may follow.

I signed a Petition last year about making dog theft a proper crime.

Last night on the news, .
A lady walking with her Pug, ...man walked up to her said, that’s a nice dog, bent down to what she thought to stroke it, instead, he unclipped the lead and ran off with it. 🤬
What could she do? ......😫
She later had a stroke due to the stress.
She never got the dog back!  :'( :'(

So sad.  Hopefully this will be too hot to handle.  4/5 dogs found in the back of a car that were stolen, including French and English bulldogs.

MayB we should all walk in packs!

A missing pug which was grabbed and stolen during a daily walk has been found 65 miles from home and reunited with her owner.
Ann Cowlard, 72, had been walking 11-year-old Dora near their home in Lydd, Kent, on 24 February.

A man wearing a face mask started talking to Mrs Cowlard before detaching Dora's lead and running off with her.

Dora was found in a park in Bexleyheath in south-east London on March 7, and taken to a police station, police said.
