Hi, I have been treated to a hot tub weekend away, I can see that you can't use a hot tub with HRT patches, has anyone got any advice? I don't want to miss out, but not sure what I can do? :-\
Thank you X

Could you make that your patch changeover day after being in the hot tub, even if it's a couple of days early?

We are going for 4 days! we have been before and go int the tub usually twice a day!

Hi Jenjen,
I have never had a problem with patches in a hot tub, I guess as long as your costume covers it and keeps it pressed firm. I have never had one come off or come loose and use hot tubs especially when on holiday.
Hope this helps,
Rhiner

Thanks for the reply, my concern is that I have read it can increase absorption of the hormone which is not good for.

ENJOY? ....... it wouldn't be my choice of relaxation at the best of times ::)
Maybe put a large sticky plaster-thingy over the patch or ask a Pharmacist?

I love a hot tub and spent hours in one on holiday last summer without giving my Evorel patch a thought! I didn't notice any effects...

Hi Jenjen1966
Please don't worry and enjoy your holiday. Absorption may well be increased in warmer weather anyway. When blood flows closer to the skin then apparently I read more estradiol is absrobed eg there is a normal daily peak of absoprtion in the evening when skin temperatrue is warmer. It should not affect how you feel especially as you are on holiday .
I'm always out in the sun in the summer with mine on. I would just make sure you've got extra patches in case they come off and have a great time :)
