Have you come home with big pressure bandages and told to keep the arms upwards?

It will be sore for about a week.  Take regular pain relief and maybe lay with pillows raised and arm/s on pillows on either side of the body to rest and prevent any swelling in the fingers.  Can you see the fingers, if so, wriggle them continually!

Thank you both for your reply.

I put off having the opp for quite a while which on reflection was a mistake!
I have a big  creape bandage on but I can see all  my fingeers and a black
arrow pointing to the injectiin sight !

I was hoping the awfully tingling would have eased off a bit but I think  I'm
in for the long haul  !,

I'm allowed to take my bandage off tomorrow.

There will be a bit of tingling for a while. Are U keeping the arms elevated?

Can you wriggle the fingers, it will help ease any swelling.

OH! I wonder how many stitches you will find under the bandage ;-)

If size of hand is anything to do with the stitches,  I won't
have many, my hands are only small.
The pain in my fingers is very uncomfortable, to say
the least, beginning to wish I hadn't had it done !

Elevate as high as you are able to and get those fingers wriggling.  It helps distribute blood flow.  Apparently.
