Hi Judy. Sorry to hear of your experience re HRT and prolapse. I had a bladder prolapse and slight uterine prolapse and was on full HRT. I was referred to the specialist pelvic floor clinic for an assessment and given an appropriate kegel exercise plan to follow. Things were ok but then I was taken off HRT due to reaching 60 (cut off age still advised by some doctors) and within a few months both prolapses worsened meaning I had to have a hysterectomy and repair. My gynaecologist wanted to know why I'd stopped HRT as it was so beneficial for prolapse sufferers. He wrote to my GP instructing that full HRT should be re-instated after my op. I am now 66 and pelvic floor health is the main reason my new GP is happy to still prescribe HRT.
Prolapse can make you feel worried and quite down at times. You need to ask for a referral to the gynae team in order to assess the severity of the prolapse and be given advice as to management of it to prevent worsening. Nowadays it seems that surgery won't be offered until you have tried the pelvic floor exercise programme first.
I would consider re-starting HRT. Also, have you been tested for a UTI? This can cause a sudden loss or urine with no other symptoms. Let us know how you get on.

Thankyou, i did have physio year before last but it wasn't much. I think i will go private. GP examined me and said surgery its all a bit overwhelming to be honest. I told her I'd stopped tasking HRT but that wasn't explored. ThANKS SO MUCH.

You shouldn't need to go privately. Ask for a referral as Taz suggested?

In what way do you feel uncomfortable? Are you sure you don't have an undiagnosed urine infection?

How many sessions did you have and did they use bio feedback to check your pelvic floor strength? You are entitled to proper assessment and care.

I had hysterectomy at 32 due to complete prolapse (bowel, bladder and uterus) been on hrt since
Back seeing urogynae now as prolapse sometimes causes discomfort and my bladder has gone stupidly hypertensive. I'm up on average twice each night to empty them bursting in the morning. He fitted a ring pessary but I removed a few days later as it shifted. He gave me tablets for bladder but I had anaphylactic shock from the first one but no one has replied to my call from the hospital so have to wait for my appt to see him again comes through as my only option may be Botox in bladder. He offered surgery for prolapses but I don't want it, I may in the future if it gets worse x

Thank you all. it's a mindfield. I will enquire more. Ive gone round the houses. Had a hysterectoscopy and they found scarring but all clear. Just don't understand how leaking suddenly got worse i can only assume it was weaning of HRT :-\ Thank you all for sharing your stories and support . Not an easy subject x
