Hi ladies wonder if you could give me some advice. I have been peri for 6 years. I am 52 now been experiencing all the usual symptoms , sore joints anxiety, brain fog, fatigue and sweats day/night.
My periods are very irregular, at the moment my period is late again. I am now finding the sweats are worse than ever ! Do the sweats get worse as your coming to the end of peri nearer to periods stopping?
Thanks in advance. X

Hi pink
I know we are all different but my sweats got worse after my periods stopped , I'm 6 yrs post meno !!
Leading up to my periods stopping when I was 46 yrs old sweats were definitely not as bad but after full year on no periods my sweats became unbearable, I'm now on hrt which definitely helps sweats but honestly think that's all it's helping

My hot flushes got worse more severe and more frequent one year on without period.

Stella is right, how long is a piece of string,I've had sweats for over 5 years now, they differ in severity and have done for years but if you get yourself a decent fan and catch them before they take hold,it does help,I have a rechargeable fan, they?re definitely the best & a big fan by my bed oh and an air con unit ;D I swear I saw a penguin at the bottom of my bed one night :o

Thanks ladies for all your replies . The funny thing is I also have chills and sometime need a hot water bottle just as I go to bed. This also helps with my aching joints. Xx

Yes I understand there is other things hrt could be helping ( I do take vitamins) but I just honestly can't see any difference apart from the hit flusges are very few and far between but weighing up the pros and cons , I've mire side effects from the hrt
I dunno 🤷♀️ I've drop down to 2 pumps per day so I will see uf I notice any difference ( fingers crossed)
As I'm heading into 7 yrs pro menopause so maybe just maybe I'll start to feel mire like myself instead of walking around with my head in clouds
