Title: Skincare recommended during first 3 years of peri menopause
Post by: Lily101 on February 02, 2020, 05:32:02 PM
Hi,

Just wondering if any of you have tips on skincare routine during menopause.

I'm 50, have 3 years of symptoms, am on femoston 2/10 and doing ok except for monthly period pain.

I was using simple brand up until a few years ago. I then changed to Vichy hydrating moisturiser, but think I need something better.

I'm normal to hydrated skin type and would say my skin is thinner than before.

Thanks

Hi Lily!

I've tried really expensive, mid-range and lower price.

One range which is lovely is Tropic, if you know or can locate an ambassador in your area, it's vegan and smells amazing but it isn't cheap.

If you're a Superdrug girl like me then I love the Natural Radiance collection - they do facewash, a brilliant hot cloth cleanser, as well as day/night moisturisers. The "B." range in there is great too. Both are supposedly vegan friendly. My skin type is normal to dry. :) x

Hi Lily,

I've been using Vichy neovadiol which is designed for menopausal skin and it's been good. I use the day and night cream and just started the eye gel too. It's often on a deal at Boots. I tend towards dry skin and since using it for a year I've had no dry or flaky skin at all.

I had a few issues with my skin, before starting HRT been using Dermol 500 as a bodywash which was great but now can't use it with oestrogel which is a nuisance. Also using simple deoderant, make up removal wipes etc. x
