VBSSUK
Valais Blacknose Sheep Society UK - was formed in the new year of 2015 by Jenni McAllister, Raymond Irvine and Jamie Wood.
Now that there is a solid presence of Valais Blacknose Sheep here in the UK we felt the need to form a society in order to record and preserve the breed in conjunction with supporting fellow breeders.
We want to work with together in order to maintain what the Swiss have worked hard to produce in this wonderful breed.
A real aaaahhhhh if you look at the Society site ;-) :-*

Oh I luv em clkd, after watching this farming life and the guy that breeds them, I said to my OH I WANT ONE ;D looked online and boy do they sell for a lot of money :o but this man on the programme had one lamb that followed him literally EVERYWHERE,it was just the cutest thing I've ever seen. The programme has finished for now but I highly recommend it if you've bbc Scotland

Oh yes I will ........ actually I don't like lamb as a food.

If these are groomed the wool bits will make good nesting material :-*

I absolutely adore Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. While watching This Farming Life and Raymond Irvine's flock not to mention his trip to Switzerland to help herd them down from the mountains, made me fall for them even harder :)

Didn't Adam go in Country File?

Aren't they pretty :)
-
Too pretty for their own good ;D - they all look the same on a plate surrounded by roasted veg.. :whist:
It's the way the Judges lift up tails to make sure that bottoms are clean :-X. How rude ;D especially in front of the watching public. There are some things that should be kept private ....... :D
-
I don't think you could afford a leg at ?5000 a sheep ;D you'd be lucky to get a chop to share.
The poor boys get a squeeze at the rear end :o they never show if their eyes water afterwards ::)
-
 the programme tried to make out that this breed is rare but it actually ain't ::). I think the ?K5 was for a top of the range stud ram. Which brings me onto the sheepdog sold at an extreme cost - going to the US to herd cattle >:(. It's a SHEEP dog! if one is herding cattle, use a Corgi - one the many dogs now on the endangered list :'( because we don't herd cattle at heel any more.
The sheep dog bitch is 2 years old ........... :'( :'(

While out gathering his sheep, Denbighshire farmer Dyfan Jones did a sudden double-take.
In the field he saw one tiny body that most definitely shouldn’t have been there.
Lambs, as everyone knows, usually arrive in spring, not when the trees are turning colour.
Bought at a sale 2 weeks ago it would appear that several farmers have had a surprise presentation since ;D

Just Googled these guys...sooooo cute!!
