Hi
Given evorel sequi only comes in 50, has anyone any experience in increasing estrogen only part?
I am 47, peri and have been on ES for nearly a year but recent symptoms are suggesting I need a higher estrogen dose (mood swings more pronounced, night sweats creeping back in etc).
I am extremely reluctant to change to another hrt as on the whole I seem to get on with ES. I am wondering whether I could use an estrogen 25 patch to top up, but have read posts that it is important to keep a 'balance' between estrogen and progesterone.
Thanks in advance.

Hi - is there any advice in the leaflet in the box? Or maybe put the product name into the search box on here and read?

I asked the dr exactly the same question and he said there was no way I could increase the dose. He said he would only prescribe standard dose. I also think from what Hurdity has said that if you added extra estrogen to sequi, the lining could build up as there would be insufficient progesterone.

Hi fusseh
I am on Everol sequi 50 plus Everol 25 as just the 50 doesn't work for me . The dr has allowed me to take it like that with that added patch . You will need to speak to your dr first regarding this .

Thanks for replies.
Ruby, how long have you been taking the extra 25? Do you find it alleviates symptoms?

Hi fusseh , it's a bit complicated about the added Everol 25. About a year ago I went on the added 25 to help as I was getting more hot flushes and had very low mood . It did really help for about 6 months for me but then I felt my body was needing more as my symptoms came back again . I went on Everol 100 for a short time as it was the only thing that helped me but the drs were very concerned that I was not getting the balance of progesterone to estrogen . So I had the coil fitted and stayed on Everol 100 . I have only had the coil fitted 3 months and it made my symptoms worse so just had it removed so back down to the added 25 Everol now . Just going to see how I go as it's early days and my body needs to settle down again now . I cant take any other form of HRT as allergic to so many so will have to just take each day and see how I go again .
I can't wait for my periods to stop so I can get rid of the progesterone patches and just be on estrogen .

Hi Ruby
Thanks for the background.
I really sympathise. So much trial and error...ever feel like a guinea pig? ::)
I am seeing doc on Monday. I'm far from convinced that upping the estrogen will help, but felt desperate on my last downer. For me it's the massive fluctuations in mood. I really worried my husband and myself. But I had a 3 month period of stability on Evorel Sequi so reluctant to change. And it has pretty much sorted other symptoms such as night sweats.
