Title: Bleeding
Post by: KateF on December 24, 2019, 02:12:04 PM
Help! I have been on Kliovance now for nearly six months. Since starting them I have had very irregular bleeding which lasts between 2-3 days. Before taking these, I'd hadn't had a period for at least 4 years so this bleeding has come as quite a shock.  Is this bleeding ‘normal'?  I've mentioned it to my GP but they weren't concerned at all. Should I be concerned?
My only symptoms were hot flushes and night sweats which have stopped.
Any advice would be appreciated.
xx

I have had similar with Evorel Conti (also 5 years post periods). Consultant advised that this was normal during first 6 months. I am having a vaginal scan soon as a check but the doctor wasn't worried.

Thank you for your response...if the bleeding continues after 6 months I will pay my GP a re-visit. Thank you again.

I agree that irregular bleeding during the first six months of any conti HRT is considered normal. This should be mentioned under side effects on the information leaflet which might put your mind at rest.
