Title: Ovestin Question
Post by: Bobidy on December 24, 2019, 11:48:59 AM
Hi

My doctor has given me my first Vagifem and ovestin cream prescription.

The ovestin is 2 x tubes both with applicators.

Is this the right thing? I wasn't expecting the ovestin to have applicators with it.

This is for putting on outer bits and the Vagifem is for the inner bits.

Thanks
X

Yes, it's the right thing. Ovestin can also be used internally, hence the applicators. Some folk like to use Vagifem internally and just use a blob of Ovestin for the external bits. Others use Ovestin internally, plus a bit on the vulva too if necessary.

Thanks JP. I'm so pleased to have my full hrt regime in place now. I'm hoping starting the VA treatment at this stage means that a 2x weekly dose will be ok for the foreseeable.

I'm so grateful for everyone's advice and encouragement. It's really empowered me when approaching my gp and spared me a life time of pain and discomfort I'm sure.

Thank you x

As others have said you get an applicator with each Ovestin prescription, i get on well with Vagifem and Ovestin combo.
