I've been traipsing round pharmacies big and small trying to get my prescription. I'm supposed to have estradot, but was given estraderm as no estradot. Now I have a generic ‘estradiol' prescription, but I can't get ANYTHING anywhere. Pharmacies are telling me some aren't due back in stock til December 2020!! That's a year away!! What the hell am I supposed to do??

You need to see your GP to prescribe an alternative. It'll be like looking for hens teeth trying to find patches.
Some are due early next year but others in a year.

Have you tried the online pharmacies? I have ordered from the Independent Pharmacy twice using an NHS prescription.

I've just paid £35 for 8 patches online as no Everol Conti available anywhere in regular chemist. Dr won't prescribe alternative without consultation and no appointment until 13th January! That leaves me with no HRT for 3 weeks 😡 I'm disgusted

Hi girls,
Katejo is right, you can get both Evorel Conti and Sequi from the Independent Pharmacy using your NHS prescription.

Then you need Conti. I use this and I am 5 years post.

In the same situation as GillyA
The alternative I got offered was oral which I am not happy about taking.
Purchased patches online at a very high price and have had to result in halving my dose by cutting patches in half for fear of running out of these!
Have no idea how messing with hormones will make me feel. But cant find another option for now.

I'm on Oestrogel at the moment because I had the same problem getting hold of any patches.

What progestogen have you been taking with the Estradot? If you have a Mirena or taking other progestogen then you wouldn't have evorel conti or sequi anyway, but any oestrogen only patch ( which according to the others you might be able to get from an independent pharmacy using NHS prewscription) - along with your usual progestogen.
Hope you manage to get sorted!

I've no idea what I'll be offered when I do get to see the Dr but I don't really want anything I have to take orally. Going to ask about gel/patch combo suggested elsewhere. I suppose I could try and stick to the Everol conti prescription and try and get it online. Unfortunately this time the surgery took my prescription off my while they tried to get it changed and so now it's gone. I'm very concerned about messing with hormones too and am really anxious thinking about getting symptoms back which for me affects cognitive performance, anxiety levels as well as physical

I just wanted to update about halving patches for fear of running out.
My advice, DONT DO IT! Was all over the place, sleepless nights, headaches, feeling anxious, all round terrible. Not a good idea for me anyway.

Birdy I use evorel sequi 50's
I found that the evorel 50 fortnight seemed not too bad however when I got to halving the conti everything changed. Sleepless nights etc. Found it a bit odd as I thought would work out ok as I know during the conti part of my month can be worse, therefore figured by halving might make things better going specially during the conti fortnight. This was not the case.
Back on full patch and feel a lot better

i know the feeling birdy x

Hi all, same position here, i have finally run out of sequi patches after cutting in half - which was fine until the last two mysteriously dissappeared from my body! - the independent pharmacy is sending me back my prescription as they are now out of stock. I'm trying to find out what the non pill alternative to evorel sequi patches is, but can't work it out, does anyone know? comepletely useless situation and can't believe when I finally took the plunge to take HRT, it runs out of stock!!!

oh no! This made me look Evorel Conti up but now they have run out of those as well. I note that for Conti, they suggest sequi as an alternative....! Fortunately I persuaded my GP to allow me to order my last prescription in advance so I am ok for a short time. At my very recent meno appt., the consultant thought that the supply would be resolved before I run out but she may well be over optimistic.

That's good you have some supply left! my nice local chemist is saying sequi will be back around Feb but my not so nice chemist is saying July at the earliest....suppose I'll just have to get the prescription back to the nice chemist and hope for the best. Good luck!
