Title: Hair very dry and thinning
Post by: monalisa on December 15, 2019, 09:26:53 PM
I am 60 post menopause.

My hair is really dry and thinning terribly

No shine and flat

It seems to have gone thin since the menopause
Is there anything that is recommended to take to improve this please
It is terribly depressing

Maybe have a very good cut and reshape with a head massage.  As short as you can bear it.  Keeping it short will help take the emphasis off your face so that you feel less conscious.  Hair thinning can be a problem.

The hairdresser Trevor Sorbie supports people who have lost their hair, have a look-see at this web site.  He gives advice regarding wigs.

I had this for a while and changed what I washed my hair with.  I would recommend a shampoo bar from the Cornish Soap Box.  The first week it makes the hair worse because it's cleansing the chemicals from ordinary products.  After that the condition improves.

It's worth a try.

:thankyou:  also chlorine can strip the hair of 'goodness'.
