Title: Help! Taken HRT 12 hours early

I accidently took my HRT tablet at 8:30 this morning when I usually take it at 9pm. It's Femoston Conti 1mg/5mg. Should I be worried?? Am I likely to bleed?

15 months! I've missed a couple before but never taken 2 in 24 hours! I forgot my antihistamine an ended up taking this instead!

Here is what it says in the info:

"If a dose has been forgotten, it should be taken as soon as possible. When more than 12 hours have elapsed, it is recommended to continue with the next dose without taking the forgotten tablet. The likelihood of breakthrough bleeding or spotting may be increased."

As far as I understand it will be fine. In other words probably best not to take the other one 12 hours later as in, when you normally do at 9 pm tomorrow - but maybe  somewhere in the middle of the day eg 2 pm rather than wait until the evening agan and then get back on track with the day after 2moz at 9 pm?

Thanks Hurdity. Yes, I will take the next tablet at 2pm tomorrow, instead of 9pm. But I'm worried about having taken 2 in 24 hours. Will it have done me any harm?

Really it won't cause any harm at all!! You might just get an oestrogen surge (which you would have noticed by now) and possibly a bit of spotting when you lengthen the interval tomorrow and the next day or a bit after, or a bit of a mood drop - but hopefully you won't notice at all. Do not fret! :)

Don't give it a second thought.  Take it tomorrow usual time. As for bleeding- well who knows.  In my experience, when i have missed pills completley, at any point in the cycle, i don't bleed. But that's just me.
You have done NO damage whatsoever.

Thank you everyone. I was fine 😊 Nothing happened to me lol. I haven't bled so far, touch wood. When I've missed a pill, I usually do, so was half expecting it.
