Title: Is it ok to have a smear test in the vaginal Utro phase?
Post by: Turkish delight on December 02, 2019, 09:41:30 AM
Hi gals!

The question I have is in the title.

Obv I'll be having a shower right before the apmnt, but I don't generally polish my cervix when doing so.

I will be smack in the middle of the Utrogestan(vaginally)phase when apmnt takes place and wondered/worried if the oil from the capsule left from the night before will effect the test somehow?

PS My letter inviting me added that they no longer call it a "smear test" it's a "cervical screening test"...hm!

What do you all think? Should I reschedule it? That won't be till the middle of Jan 2020.

I would call the surgery and ask to speak to the nurse (or ask for a call back).  It would save wasting the appointment if it's a problem.
