Dear All,
as HRT patches of several brands (I only know of Evorel Sequi which I use) are now out of stock in the UK and, I discovered, in Italy too, may I ask what is everyone on the HRT patches doing to cope with this situation?
I have seen that the independent pharmacy (https://www.theindependentpharmacy.co.uk) stocks them but a dear price. Is this website reliable and safe? Is it worth paying the price?
Any experience you wish to share, I'll be most grateful to hear! All best to everyone, Corinna

Hi if you've got an NHS prescription you can send it to the Independent Pharmacy and just pay the NHS prescription charge x

thank you! I wasn't sure whether we can rely on the Independent Pharmacy but it's good to know. I'm just astounded how pricey their patches are! All best and thanks for your response.

Hello Cocobra and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately I can can't give you any advice as I have recently stopped HRT but I sympathise with your plight.
Many ladies are struggling to get the HRT they need and I understand that there are shortages of other drugs as well. There are massive profits to be made by selling drugs privately which is why American companies are so keen to buy into our NHS which will be to the detriment of us all.
Hopefully you will get the help you need asap.

this is such a supportive forum: it is lucky to have it! I wholeheartedly agree with you on the NHS and the profits of the pharmaceutical industry, but I think it's particularly acute when it comes to women's health. I read a Guardian article recently on precisely this problem!
