I'm a newbie. I have just 'joined the club' rather unexpectedly. I thought this was supposed to be gradual and women had time to get used to it? But no. Fine one minute then the next no period but instead hot flushing all the time, unable to sleep, etc etc. Exhaused I went to see my GP with my list of delightful symptoms. Oral hormones make me sick and there is a history of ovarian canver in my family so for me, a patch was the safest and most likely effective option. I'm crosscat because as I'm sure you all know- there wont be an HRT patch avaiable until June 2020 (according to my doctor) and why? its because of a manufacturing ****up in Europe because of Brexit. If this affected men I am pretty sure that not only would it not have happened but it'd be given more time in the press that it has been. It's been sidelined as a 'womens issue'. Fortunatley I've bee prescribed femoston, havent been sick and after a week on it now I feel like I've got my life back. I had such awful symptoms I couldnt work and they've all now gone. The national deficiencies in HRT supply are a BIG issue and not just the minor inconvenience they've been portrayed as. Phew! got that off my chest. Hello everybody :)
