Title: Vagifem and cervical smear
Post by: Roadrunner on November 18, 2019, 05:42:59 PM
Hello ladies

Do I need to be mindful of timings for this? Can I use Vagifem at night and have a smear test the following day or should I leave it a bit?

Don't want to mess with the results, but equally would like to minimise discomfort!!  ;)

Hi Roadrunner,
I just had a smear test done two weeks ago and I didn't use cream for two days...Ovestin...and nurse said that was the right thing to have done as it can interfere with the results.
I used cream Sunday morning and has test done Tuesday evening.

I asked the same question and was told to stop using Vagifem for 48 hours, as i need to use it every day i am not looking forward to the soreness returning.

Sometimes you wonder why some people work for the care profession!
