Title: Kliofem
Post by: Dangles on November 16, 2019, 09:57:13 AM
Hi everyone :)
So here's my story (get a cuppa, could take a while)
I carry BRCA2 gene so elected for double mastectomy in 2006 aged 36. Whilst visiting pre op for this found to also have a bleeding disorder Haemophillia C.
This meant I couldn't have reconstruction.
2013 elected to have both ovaries and tubes removed. Put onto Elleste duet. No problems with them at all. Then due to them becoming so difficult to get I was put onto Kliofem earlier this year.
From the minute I started taking them everything changed. Hormonal, moody, emotional, loss of libido, tiredness, unable to concentrate then I had a huge bleed with cramps I have never experienced before. Told nurse at gp surgery told to keep going.
Then about 2 and half months ago I had another bleed again lasting around 10 days. Went to see nurse who immediately referred me to a gyne unit. Long story short my endometrium was measuring at 9mm thick whereas a normal endometrium is around 4mm thick. My consultant said she is seeing more and more women coming through with the same symptoms who have been swapped to Kliofem. I have been for a biopsy and again the surgeon said exactly the same. So I'm now waiting for the biopsy results and on a waiting list to see a HRT specialist but in the meantime I'm still on the Kliofem feeling horrid.
Has anyone else had anything similar whilst in Kliofem? Thanks in advance x
