Hiya ladies. I've been on the forum a year now and just feel I want to say something.
When I made my first post i was in a bad place. I'd never felt so alone, scared and confused.
I couldnt have imagined then how much I would gain from being a member here.
There is a wealth of knowledge and experience youd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. The sharing of ideas and information is invaluable. I am now far more clued up than I was. But perhaps even more import is the support, the empathy and understanding, genuine kindness and reaching out to help others even though we are all struggeling in our own ways.
Losing my wife almost 4 years ago has been devastating but I've been overwhelmed by the comforting and caring words I have received here. Its helped me get through some very dark days., (and nights)
1, 811 posts later, covering everything from psychological issues to candid conversations about vaginas, bladders , bowels and a few other things I hadnt expected ??? We may not always all agree on everything on here, but that's o.k with me. It keeps things real and makes for interesting conversation.
I've said things here I've never said to anyone. Over these 12 months, I've opened my heart, spilled my guts, vented my spleen , (see what I did there?) and I've also had a proper giggle at times. :)
Ladies you have picked me up off the floor, calmed me in meltdowns, given sage advice and encouragement and reassurance. You've made me laugh, taught me much and inspired me. And I hope along the way I've been able to give some of this back in my own way.
I certainly dont feel alone in my meno journey anymore so thank you thank you thank you, my friends
And to anyone who is watching and unsure whether to take that step of making their first post, I say do it.!! You have nothing to lose and much to gain.
Here's to the amazing ladies of the MM forum and here's to Dr Heather Currie. . Long may it continue..
Cheers 🥂

:thankyou: It always cuts both ways honey - you've been here for us too... when we are down, when we up and when we haven't a clue which way round we are (in my case pretty much most of the time).
Here's to another year coming - onwards and roundaboutwards :-X ::)

I'll join in the collective toast, for sure.
I've definitely become more of a nutter during peri but now I know what it is, everyone's support and guidance has been invaluable.

Lovely post TC, I couldn't agree more :)

Lovely post Tc. You are very kind and supportive to everyone, despite all the problems you have been dealing with yourself, so thank you.
I joined about 15 months ago when I was in a right state with VA and that very same person was one of the first to respond to me as well. I am so very grateful for all the advice and patience of all mm members who I'm sure must think I'm a right selfish so and so at times to be whinging on about my own stuff.
I used to belong to another well known forum but the folks on there can be very judgemental and downright rude at times. This place is the complete opposite. Bless you all ❤️

Aw that's nice..
I'm a 4 year member here (quite absent lately but I've become a golf-a-holic and obsessed with playing)
This forum has taught me so much and helped enormously too x

Thank you for your kind words blot and thanks go to you for starting the anxiety support thread which has been a lifeline for so many of us, myself included.
Hiya Annie. You were among the first to reply to my first post as a new member. Hope you're getting that handicap down :)
