Title: Tostran and stomach bloating

Hi 

3rd week into Tostran gel 2% - twice a week but get very bloated and sore and also a little bit spotting. Also on Evorel conti patches.  Aged 54.

Has anyone else experienced this and did it settle down?

Although it could be the testosterone, it might actually be the result of increased oestrogen levels. I had oestrogen levels of 257 pmol but, when tested 10 weeks after introducing Testogel, my oestrogen levels had risen to 700 pmol. It's thought to be due to the effect of testosterone on SHBG which then frees up the amount of oestrogen available to the body.

You should be tested for Oestrogen, Testosterone and SHBG after a couple of months of testosterone use to ensure you are reaching decent/haven't exceed safe levels of testosterone anyway so that should shed some light!

Hi Dotty - been on the patches just over 3 months.

Dx
