Morning lovely ladies is it just me or does anyone elses bra annoys them lately,it feels like the wires are digging in my ribs n my fat roll lol i ve been having under ribcage issues but this seems to be aggravating it more i love the end of the day when i can let them go south its such a relief xx
-
I ditched the wires some years ago.
I wear sturdy cross your heart bras 24/7. You might need to go up a size. I did from 34 to 36.
Try some bigger differently styles bras and hopefully you'll feel more comfortable xxx

I haven't worn a bra since 1997 unless going to a Very Posh Do
-
OMG I do
It's the first thing I take off once I'm indoors. I undo it and whip it off via my t shirt sleeves.😅😅
Such a pleasure for me, instant relief.

i was getting so worried that it was my boobs that were hurting and got myself into a right hoohah until I realised it's my ribs that hurt and it's where my wires sit. I did wonder if it's hormonal as never had it before x

Lol Gusgus
I do that!!
I'm not blessed in the boobage department but I seem to vary in size even with same brand. I'm either forever pulling it down as it seems to big round my back, or some random thing is digging in. I found some pretty ones on H&M the other day - bra-lets they are called - they are non-wired but padded, about £13 each but they seem to hoist you up!!
Maybe something like that would help Lollipop :)

Hi all
I've had painful lumpy cystic breasts for years and underwired bras ended up being like torchure.
I've spent years trying to find supportive, comfortable, pretty alternatives and have recently struck gold with Marks and Spencer's 'Non-wired sumptuously soft t-shirt bra'. They are £20 each and the best bras I've ever had! I've got one in every colour.
Give them a try, you can always return them no quibble if they aren't for you x

When I was young, there were jokes about old ladies running around naked. Now, I feel best without any clothes on. Whatever I have on, all irritates me. Could be because most clothes are made for young figures, with firm bodies. Squeezing into and wearing them can at times be bit tricky? :o

I gave up underwired, a few years ago, when I had inflammation in the breast bone cartalige. It was absolute agony and I went totally braless for a few weeks.
Now I buy wireless and the M&S ones I recently brought are the best. So soft and no sticky-in bits.
Body Padded Full Cup T-shirt bras. If you are interested.

God bless M&S! X

Never thought I'd read anything interesting in the sun but I found this the other day when trying to help my sister.

Lot of people have mentioned m&s so think might have a look online, bras are so expensive as well ,all this talk about rib cage aches whats that all about cus mine as like spasms one day fine the next or more often than not its like i have been in the ring with Anthony Joshua lol xx
-
Yes, good idea to get measured properly. I thought for years I was a 34B turns out I am 32D and what a difference it makes. It was in John Lewis and she could tell just by looking before she even measured me.
-
I find bra fitting a bit unreliable as I'm a different size depending whose bra I'm trying on for some odd reason. I usually take in a size and cup higher and lower than I think I am and just try each on to get the best fit. My boobs also seem to change cup size depending where I am in my cycle, which is a pain in the ass!
-
But yes get measured/or measure yourself to get a ballpark x
-
That's true Bobidy, depends on the brand x
-
I agree about sizing. I think its true of all clothing. Both my grandmothers were seamstresses and my nans always said things are not made with the same quality control.as in their day I think that's got worse and worse. It doesnt just apply to different brands but you can pick two exact same garments off the shelf and both fit differently.

Hello ladies
I never liked underwired bras but I do prefer something controlling. I'm a 36A but it is quite hard to find many styles in an A cup, most seem to start at B. However I have found sports bras to be the answer. Sports Direct were selling Lonsdale ones at two for thirteen pounds recently so I grabbed a few. I found the stitching around the hook at the back a bit scratchy so I've sewn a little ribbon onto the back and it works a treat.
Take care ladies.

:great: I think that was me.

Dankskin bras for me - usually get them in a two-pack. They're very comfortable and supportive without being restrictive. If you can get away with it shape/size etc you may want to try a sort of stick on one. I used these if I was going to a do and was wearing a backless dress. Cheap version is to stick plasters over your nipples so you don't get looks in the street! :o

Danskin not Dankskin ::)
Oh and wear clothes over the nipple plasters ::)

I like boux Avenue, they do a bra called Chloe, fits perfectly, the girl sized me and was really helpful, the only bras I wear now

Lol its been over 35 years since i went to a function without a bra lol nowadays if i did that it would be a trip hazard xx

😂😆

I have had some luck with Fantasie Rebecca range and styles based on that one, which is full cup. The more traditional shaped full cup ones have been an expensive mistake. :o
I have stopped buying them with the smaller back size that is advocated these days because the tightness is irritating, but stuck with the larger cup size.
I have an ancient Warner one that is still comfortable and have yet to find anything like it. The underwired bras these days are all about pushing you into a shape and the natural shapes are hard to find.
