I'm entering perimenopause, and my OBGYN nurse practitioner will only allow me to switch birth control pack types every 2 months if the current one isn't working out. I'd like to switch out more often, like once a month. Waiting 2 months on something that isn't working is sheer agony. At this rate, I'll be post-menopausal by the time we find the right fit.
I can understand finishing the pack I started...but waiting through 2 packs? Is that normal/reasonable in your experience? Or should I start looking for an OBGYN who will work with me?
