I'm on day 4 of Femoston conti 1/5 having had to change as Angeliq was discontinued (still raging about that), I've had a bit of a headache and my stomach felt a bit odd last night.
I've also had some morning anxiety for the last few weeks but this morning was particularly bad felt like I was very close to a full blown panic attack but got out of bed and felt better within the hour.
I'm wondering if it's the Femoston that's making the anxiety worse?
I've had the morning anxiety now and again while on Angeliq but it didn't feel as bad as it did today, I know it's only the 4th day so may not be the Femoston, maybe estrogen too low?
Don't know what to do, I've felt so well on Angeliq and didn't want to come off it but had no option.
I'll keep going with the Femoston for 3 months and hope any side effects will pass but if not I'm stuck.
I can't take norethisterone as I suffered horrendous depression and anxiety on Elleste and Kliovance and lost a lot of hair too.
If my estrogen is too low could I add a patch to the Femoston as 1mg is the highest dose it comes in?
The doctor's don't help much and I've had to research HRT myself and ask for what I thought would work. Angeliq was by far the best but there's nothing out there similar.
I'm just so worried Femoston won't suit me and the depression will hit me again don't think I can cope with that :'(

Hi Ginny62
I'm on femoston conti, and it took a bit for it to kick in for me. Been on it now continuously for about 18 months....of which the last 6 months have been the best ever....it did give me bloating and terrible wind at the start, also headaches, but they've really eased off now.
My anxiety took ages to clear, still get low level anxiety, but I can handle that. So all in all, although not perfect, ( what is really?) it's the best I've had....I've been on femseven patches, Everol, Sandrena gel, and Utrogestan. ....so I'm sticking with this...
What I do is double my dose...I take two 1mg tablets as, as you've said it only comes in 1 mg. my doc knows what I do...but I did this slowly, I got a prescription off my doc for the 0.5 mg, and started increasing by that at first....until now, I'm on 2 mg... hope this helps you and good luck....keep us informed how your doing....

Hi jilly
Thanks for your reply glad to hear Femoston is working for you, Angeliq was great too such a shame they discontinued it. I've not thought of doubling up the dose if needed sounds like a plan if I get any problems, I'll discuss it with the doctor if need be. Anxiety is just in the morning so far and usually passes after a few weeks. I really hope Femoston works for me.
Thanks again
