Hi,
My doctor has changed my HRT from Femoston 1/5 Conti to Femoston 2/10. I am 59 and I have not had a period for over 5 years. Will this new prescription give me a monthly bleed? This is something I do not want to go back to.
Thanks.

Hi Pippalong
Yes, if it's NOT Conti type Femoston, you will get a bleed. Sorry....x

Thanks. Better ring the doctors in the morning and get it changed. She didn't tell me this would happen, she just said I might get a slight bleed at the beginning because of the change in prescription.

Yes, definitely a bleed - it is what I am on. ::)
It is also twice as much oestrogen, but there is not a femoston combination with more than 1 of oestrogen that is continuous. I would like to go on a continuous one, but I would have to drop the oestrogen level.
